Festiva Sailing Vacations Announces New Base Location: Cancun and The Yucatan
Beginning November 15, 2009, Festiva Sailing Vacations and the Festiva Cruise Club will begin setting sail out of northern Cancun. We will explore the coastal islands of Isla Mujeres, Isla Contoy, Boca Iglesias and the exciting beaches of Cancun!
When you think of Cancun, it's hard not to envision the nightlife and hustle and bustle of some of the most popular beaches and elaborate resorts that line the Hotel Zone. With the recent development of high-end resorts, Cancun has become one of the most popular beach destinations in the western hemisphere.
Our week sailing the waters of the coast of Cancun will give you a taste of this excitement, and will also introduce you to some of the region’s more remote islands, pristine beaches and fantastic snorkeling. Eight miles off the coast of Cancun we'll find Isla Mujeres, ‘The Island of Women,’ which slows down the pace and offers unique shopping, sightseeing and relaxing beaches. We will also visit Isla Contoy, Boca Iglesias and Isla Blanca. Throughout the route you will experience incredible snorkeling, historic ruins and spectacular underwater wildlife unique to this region.
This new base has one major advantage over our other current destinations: ease of access. The Cancun Airport International (CUN) offers multiple direct flights from all of the major U.S. hubs. With affordable pricing and air travel that can be as little as two to three hours from the U.S., we hope this will offer a more convenient and cost-conscious option for many of our members.

This can be done through exchanging your home resort week or Adventure Club points and only paying the all-inclusive fees.
